Russia's foreign ministry stated on Wednesday that despite Israeli strikes, Hezbollah has retained its organizational integrity, with the military wing showing no signs of losing command. The ministry's spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, criticized Western nations, particularly the United States and Britain, for exacerbating Middle East conflicts and supporting Israel, which she accused of causing significant civilian casualties in Lebanon.

Hezbollah, established by Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the 1980s to combat Israel, continues to be a robust social, religious, and political force among Lebanese Shi'ite Muslims. Beyond Lebanon, Russia also condemned Israel for its military actions in Syria. According to Zakharova, Israel grossly violated Syrian sovereignty by attacking a populated apartment building in Damascus.

She expressed outrage at Israel's routine aggression in Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip, accusing it of expanding military hostilities in the region. This geopolitical clash further highlights the complex and volatile dynamics in the Middle East, as regional and international powers engage in strategic posturing.
