In a significant move, senior lawyer Adish Aggarwala has appealed to Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud to establish guidelines on judicial decorum, especially during interactions between judges and lawyers in court proceedings.

Aggarwala highlighted a recent incident involving a judge from the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. During a virtual hearing, the judge allegedly used inappropriate language against senior advocate P Wilson, who was pointing out a potential conflict of interest.

Aggarwala's letter calls for the formation of a redressal committee to address complaints of unprofessional judicial conduct, suggesting it be led by a retired Supreme Court judge to ensure transparency and fairness.
