Police Crack Intricate Murder Plot for Insurance Payout
Police have arrested three individuals involved in the murder of a woman, orchestrated by her husband for insurance money. The investigation, lasting 17 months, uncovered financial irregularities, including a substantial life insurance policy and loans taken in the woman's name. The husband and his co-conspirators tried to stage the murder as an accident.

Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the murder of a woman, allegedly masterminded by her husband for insurance money within a year of their marriage.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Shashank Singh, the investigation uncovered high-value purchases, including vehicles and a Rs 10 lakh loan taken in the victim's name. A life insurance policy worth Rs 50 lakh was also found to be part of the plot.
Kuldeep Singh, lawyer Alok Nigam, and Deepak Verma were arrested for their involvement in the murder. The victim's husband, Abhishek Shukla, and his father are still at large. Verma, the car driver involved in the staged accident that led to the victim's death, revealed the murder plot during police interrogation. The case cracked open following suspicions raised by an insurance firm when Shukla tried to cash out the policy.
