A 30-year-old CISF constable, Supriya Nayak, demonstrated remarkable bravery when she thwarted a chain snatching attempt on Wednesday morning near Akshardham Metro station in Delhi, an official disclosed.

Despite sustaining injuries during the scuffle, Nayak managed to apprehend one of the bike-borne assailants. The incident occurred around 7:45 am while she was out for a morning walk in the Pandav Nagar area.

Nayak's quick thinking and courage have been widely praised, earning her commendation from CISF's director general. The apprehended assailant was handed over to the local police, and Nayak was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital.
