Israeli Forces Uncover Hezbollah Tunnels and Weapons in Southern Lebanon
Israeli forces have been conducting raids in southern Lebanon for months, uncovering Hezbollah's tunnels and hidden weapon caches. The Israeli military has declassified these operations, revealing Hezbollah's plans to invade Israel with Iranian-made weapons. Ground raids will continue until uprooted Israelis can safely return to their homes near the border.
Israeli forces have been conducting raids into southern Lebanon for several months, uncovering Hezbollah tunnels and weapon caches hidden under homes, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari announced on Tuesday.
Following the declassification of these details, Israel has launched a ground operation against Iran-backed Hezbollah. The raids have uncovered plans by Hezbollah to invade Israel, comparable to the Hamas-led attack in southern Israel last October.
"Our soldiers penetrated Hezbollah's underground systems, seized hidden weapons caches, and destroyed advanced Iranian-made weapons," Hagari stated. Evidentiary findings, including videos and maps marking Israeli targets, will be presented to the international community.
The operations revealed so far are only a fraction of the ongoing efforts to dismantle Hezbollah's strategic assets, Hagari added. He emphasized that raids will persist until displaced Israelis near the border can safely return home, focusing on villages adjacent to the Israeli-Lebanese border without advancing into broader Lebanese territories.
