  • Country:
  • India

In a significant development impacting traffic and pedestrian movement in north Delhi, Roshanara Road will remain closed for over a month, according to an official advisory. The closure results from the ongoing twin tunnel construction by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The closure stretches from Friday midnight to November 18, affecting both carriageways from the Roshanara roundabout to Pul Bangash metro station. To manage the traffic flow, buses and heavy vehicles coming from ISBT and heading towards Shakti Nagar will be rerouted via Shamnath Marg, Civil Lines, and Mall Road up to Khalsa College, with reverse directions also specified.

Light motor vehicles face diversions through Barfkhana Chowk and Lala Jagan Nath Marg up to Clock Tower, among other routes. Commuters have been advised to avoid these areas, opting for public transport where possible. The police request public cooperation during this period to mitigate congestion and ensure smooth transit.
