Delhi HC Warns of Strict Action Over Obstruction in Hospital Reforms

The Delhi High Court on Monday issued a stern warning to local authorities, cautioning against any obstructive behavior impeding the implementation of crucial recommendations aimed at improving medical services in city hospitals.
A bench led by Chief Justice Manmohan emphasized that the authorities need to break the logjam and tasked the AIIMS director, Dr. M Srinivas, to hold another meeting on October 5.
The court criticized the Delhi government's health secretary for not attending a prior meeting and warned of strict consequences for further non-cooperation, reiterating the need for prioritizing public welfare over administrative obstacles.
