A driver was shot dead in north Delhi's Narela area, prompting police to launch an immediate investigation and arrest one suspect, officials said on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Sunil alias Monu from Sonipat, was reportedly working as a driver for a person named Jolly. Authorities learned of the incident after a local hospital informed them that Monu had been declared dead after being shot in the arm.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a personal conflict involving Sunil Dahiya -- who had an affair with Jolly's daughter -- led to a violent altercation. On Sunday, Dahiya allegedly threatened Jolly's family, enraging Jolly and his brother Pradeep. Later, a skirmish erupted at Dahiya's office near the Singhu border, and the confrontation escalated into a fatal shooting.
