Police have filed an FIR against three doctors at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, implicating them in the suspicious death of Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava, an MS student at Motilal Nehru Medical College, officials disclosed on Monday.

The report, based on a complaint by Dr. Aditi Srivastava, the deceased's sister, accuses Shivam Gupta, Dr. Sachin Yadav and Dr. Anamika of violating Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Abhishek Bharti.

Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava was found dead in his car on hospital premises on Saturday night. Preliminary suspicions suggest he may have committed suicide by injecting himself with a poisonous substance. While a full postmortem report is awaited, Dr. Srivastava had previously reported enduring physical and mental abuse by his senior, Shivam Gupta, a matter that had been ignored by Associate Professor Sachin Yadav.

The complainant suggests that this abuse, coupled with emotional turmoil involving another student, Anamika, might have led to Dr. Srivastava's death. The investigation is ongoing, stated DCP Bharti.
