Indian Golf Union Honors Emerging Talents and Crowns Champions
The Indian Golf Union celebrated the achievements of golfers Mannat Brar, Zara Anand, Sandeep Sandhu, Ranjit Singh, Ranveer Mitroo, Vihaan Jain, and Rohit for their outstanding performances in various national and international tournaments.

The Indian Golf Union (IGU), the national federation for golf in India, recently felicitated Mannat Brar and Zara Anand, lauding their exceptional performances at the prestigious R&A Girl's Amateur Championship in England. Mannat was distinguished as the first Indian woman amateur to reach the semifinals, while Zara advanced to the second round of this esteemed event considered a stepping stone for top women's professionals. IGU president Brijinder Singh awarded cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh to Mannat and Rs 50,000 to Zara during the federation's Annual General Meeting.
Adding to the celebration, Sandeep Sandhu from Chandigarh emerged victorious in the senior category of the IGU All India Mid Amateurs and Seniors Championship. Sandhu's rounds of 77, 76, and 76 on the par-72 Noida Golf Course secured him the title. Ranjit Singh of West Bengal won the mid-amateur title with rounds of 75, 72, 71, and 79.
In junior categories, Delhi's Ranveer Mitroo clinched the IGU NCR Junior Boys Cup in Category A, posting a 10-under 270 at the Jaypee Wishtown Golf Course in Noida, outperforming runner-up ParthRaman Sood from Uttar Pradesh by a two-stroke margin. In Category B, Vihaan Jain triumphed with a score of three-under 277.
Meanwhile, Haryana's Rohit edged out Uttar Pradesh's Vinamra Anand in a playoff to secure the IGU Northern India Amateur Golf Championship. Both golfers finished with a cumulative score of four-under 284 at the Noida Golf Course.
