SASSA Announces Social Grant Payment Dates for October

SASSA has urged beneficiaries not to rush to withdraw their payments on the first day, as funds will remain in their accounts until needed.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the payment schedule for social grants for October 2024. Beneficiaries of the Older Persons' Grant will receive their payments starting Wednesday, October 2, followed by Disability Grant recipients on Thursday, October 3, and Children's Grant beneficiaries on Friday, October 4.

Payment Dates for October 2024:

Older Persons/Pensioners' Grant: Wednesday, October 2

Disability Grant: Thursday, October 3

Children’s Grant: Friday, October 4

SASSA also reiterated its commitment to ensuring accurate and timely payments for all beneficiaries. Payments can be accessed through selected retailers such as Pick n Pay, Boxer, USave, Checkers, and Shoprite, using a SASSA card or direct bank transfer.
