Lokayukta Police Seek Clarification to File FIR Against Chief Minister in Land Allotment Case

The Lokayukta police are seeking legal clarification to register an FIR against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case. A special court ordered a probe against Siddaramaiah, with allegations involving the allotment of sites to his wife. Clarification is needed due to procedural conflicts.

The Lokayukta police are seeking legal clarification to file an FIR against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case, sources revealed on Thursday.

A special court ordered an investigation against Siddaramaiah on Wednesday, which paves the way for an FIR to be registered.

Special court Judge Santhosh Gajanan Bhat issued the order following a High Court decision upholding Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot's sanction to investigate allegations of illegalities in allotting 14 sites to Siddaramaiah's wife, B M Parvathi, by the MUDA.
