Police Seize 138 kg of Ganja in Ambulance in Madhya Pradesh
Police intercepted an ambulance in Madhya Pradesh and discovered 138 kg of ganja concealed inside. Two smugglers, Kiran Hantal and Balram Ganapatra, were arrested. The narcotics, valued at Rs 40 lakh, were being transported from Odisha. Further investigation under the NDPS Act is ongoing.

Police authorities in Madhya Pradesh have confiscated 138 kg of ganja that was being transported in an ambulance from Odisha to Indore district. The operation led to the arrest of two individuals, identified as Kiran Hantal and Balram Ganapatra.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Hitika Vasal disclosed that acting on a tip-off, the ambulance was intercepted at Bherughat, approximately 40 km from the district headquarters. Upon searching, the narcotics were found concealed in small and large packets at the rear of the ambulance.
The confiscated ganja has an estimated market value of Rs 40 lakh in the illicit drug trade. The suspects allegedly intended to distribute the drugs in Indore and other cities. Authorities have seized the Andhra Pradesh-registered ambulance used in the smuggling operation. Further legal action is being pursued under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
