Tragedy Strikes Lebanese Family In Israeli Airstrike

Tragedy struck ahead of Maya Gharib's wedding, as the 23-year-old Lebanese engineer and her family were killed in an Israeli airstrike. The carnage, which targeted their home in Tyre, resulted in the loss of her two sisters and parents, leaving her brother Reda as the only surviving member.

Reda Gharib, speaking from Senegal, condemned the attacks that hit civilians, despite Israel's claim of targeting Hezbollah weapons. The Lebanese health ministry reported that over 550 lives have been lost, including children and women, marking Lebanon's bloodiest day since the 1975-90 Civil War.

Amid ongoing violence, other towns such as Hanouiyeh and Saksakieh also suffered devastating hits, with numerous families losing their homes and loved ones. Civilians have been left questioning the indiscriminate nature of the strikes and Lebanon's involvement in the conflict.
