The Gujarat Congress has accused school principal Govind Nat, arrested for allegedly murdering a 6-year-old girl in Dahod district, of having close ties with the BJP and RSS. The child's body was discovered at the school compound in Torani village.

According to police reports, Nat attempted to sexually assault the child while driving her to school and then smothered her when she resisted. Photographs have surfaced showing Nat with former state minister Arjunsinh Chauhan and attending RSS events.

Gujarat Congress spokesperson Parthivraj Kathvadiya voiced concerns that political influence might shield Nat, criticizing the BJP for failing to ensure the safety of children. In response, Education Minister Kuber Dindor confirmed the government's efforts to expedite the case in a fast-track court, emphasizing the principal's immediate suspension and arrest.
