India could emerge as a model democratic nation through inclusive engagement and a responsible system, said Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday. Speaking at the India Region Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Birla called on presiding officers to utilize technology to enhance the efficiency and functioning of legislative bodies.

Birla emphasized the need for legislative bodies to discuss and shape welfare schemes for the marginalized sections of society using technology. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh and other legislative presiding officers also participated in the session.

In his address, Birla highlighted that with technology becoming integral to daily life, public representatives must find innovative ways to meet the increasing aspirations of the populace through legislative means. He called India's constitution a beacon of inclusive governance that guides the nation toward development.
