Israeli Military Launches Widespread Air Strikes against Hezbollah
The Israeli military carried out its most extensive air strikes against Hezbollah in various regions of Lebanon amid ongoing conflict. Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari emphasized the importance of safety for northern Israeli residents. Tensions have intensified with heavy cross-border exchanges and escalated violence involving Hezbollah and Israel.
The Israeli military executed its most expansive wave of air strikes against Iran-backed Hezbollah, targeting Lebanon's south, eastern Bekaa valley, and northern regions near Syria. This marks nearly a year of heightened conflict.
Military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated that steps would be taken to ensure the safe return of northern Israeli residents, a priority for the Israeli government. Amid escalating violence, Hagari urged south Lebanon residents to steer clear of Hezbollah posts.
Hagari revealed that Hezbollah has stored weapons, including cruise missiles, in civilian areas, presenting aerial footage of an Israeli strike on a Hezbollah site. Israeli warplanes carried out intense air strikes along Lebanon’s southern border and other regions, as confirmed by Reuters witnesses. Hezbollah's al-Manar television reported Israeli air strikes in various locations, showing smoke plumes. The conflict has seen heavy exchanges of fire, with Hezbollah launching rockets deep into northern Israel. Operations will persist until it is secure for evacuated civilians to return, as stated by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
