Andaman and Nicobar Islands MP Bishnu Pada Ray has accused Lieutenant Governor Devendra Kumar Joshi of delaying crucial developmental projects in the region. Ray called for Joshi's immediate removal during a press conference on Sunday.
Ray highlighted that sectors including health, education, and infrastructure have been adversely impacted under Joshi's administration. He also pointed out the administrative inaction regarding the provision of diammonium phosphate fertilizer for farmers and the halting of land conversion processes, which is currently pending in the Supreme Court.
The MP further claimed that the registration of land has been stopped, affecting the tourism industry significantly. Ray plans to bring up these issues in Parliament. The lieutenant governor's office did not respond to the allegations.
