Clash and Firing in Ajmer: One Dead, Another Injured

A man was killed and another person was injured during a shooting that resulted from a clash between two groups in Rupangarh, a town in Rajasthan's Ajmer district, on Sunday.
Ajmer Rural's Additional Superintendent of Police, Deepak Kumar, reported that a dispute over shop construction led to a violent confrontation involving sticks, rods, and ultimately, gunfire. One person, identified as Shakeel Langa, died from a bullet injury, while another, Narayan Kumawat, was injured and referred to Ajmer for treatment.
During the altercation, several vehicles were vandalized, and a JCB machine was set ablaze. Additional forces have been deployed to maintain order.
Congress leaders, including PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully, criticized the state government, sharing videos of the incident and calling attention to the deteriorating law and order in Rajasthan.
Union Minister Bhagirath Chaudhary, Rajasthan's Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat, and State Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, all hailing from Ajmer district, were implicated in the ongoing debate.
