The mother of the 14-year-old charged with murder in the fatal shooting of four people at a Georgia high school had warned staff of an 'extreme emergency' involving her son prior to the incident, according to a relative.
Annie Brown told the Washington Post that her sister, the mother of Colt Gray, had urged school counselors to locate and check on her son immediately. Records show a call was made to the school about 30 minutes before the gunfire erupted.
Colt Gray is charged with the murder of two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School, while his father faces second-degree murder charges for providing the AR-15 style rifle. The family has a history of issues, including a past eviction and bullying allegations.
