The Border Security Force (BSF) thwarted an infiltration attempt by a terrorist along the International Border in R S Pura during the night between Saturday and Sunday. The troops observed suspicious movement and opened fire, forcing the intruder to flee.
In a subsequent search of the area, BSF personnel recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition, including an AK assault rifle, multiple magazines, and rounds of ammunition. The discovery underscores ongoing security challenges at the border.
Following the thwarted attempt, officials found additional items left behind by the intruder, such as a Pakistan-made bag and cigarette packet, which are now part of the investigation.
