Bajrang Dal activists on Friday staged a protest against IPS officer Rahul Kumar Lodha following his new posting as Superintendent of Government Railway Police (GRP) in Bhopal.
Lodha was removed from his post of Ratlam SP on Tuesday midnight after fact-checking a complaint regarding an alleged stone-pelting incident at a Ganesh procession in Ratlam's Mochipur area last Saturday.
The activists gathered at the Bhopal GRP office, expecting Lodha to take charge, but he did not turn up. Bajrang Dal leader Dinesh Yadav alleged that Lodha provided wrong information about the 'attack' on the Ganesh procession, leading to an FIR against the Hindu community. The group threatened continued protests if Lodha's actions remained unchanged, calling for his dismissal from service.
