Senior Official Caught in Bribery Scandal in Madhya Pradesh
An Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, Ashok Kumar Ohri, was arrested for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe. Ohri initially asked for Rs 20,000 to settle a land division case and took Rs 10,000 in advance. He was caught accepting Rs 5,000 from the complainant. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has ordered his immediate suspension, citing zero tolerance for corruption.

An Additional District Magistrate in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, was apprehended on Thursday for his alleged involvement in a bribery case, according to a Lokayukta police official.
ADM Ashok Kumar Ohri had demanded Rs 20,000 from a complainant to settle a land division case and had already accepted Rs 10,000 as an advance payment, revealed Lokayukta inspector Zia-ul-Haq.
Following a further negotiation due to the complainant's inability to pay the remaining amount, Ohri agreed to accept Rs 5,000. He was consequently caught red-handed with the money, confirmed Lokayukta Superintendent of Police, Gopal Singh Dhakad. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has suspended Ohri, stressing the government's zero tolerance against corruption.
