A significant wildfire near the Spanish border in southwestern France has led to the evacuation of a local village, according to Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin's post on X.
Darmanin revealed that over 300 firefighters, supported by nine aircraft and three helicopters, have been mobilized to tackle the fire.
The inferno erupted near the small mountain village of Castelnou, approximately 30 kilometers (18.64 miles) from the town of Perpignan.
