A fire erupted in a slum in Kanchan Kunj, Madanpur Khadar, last night, plunging the national capital into turmoil. Officials confirmed that smoke billowed from the area as 11 fire tenders rushed to the scene.

Remarkably, no injuries were reported. Firefighters swiftly extinguished the blaze, and cooling operations are underway. This incident follows a similar fire that broke out on September 8 in a cloth factory in Outer Delhi's Bakkarwala area.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer M.K. Chattopadhyay revealed that an LPG cylinder explosion exacerbated the factory fire, which was eventually controlled. "We recorded the fire at 6:55 am in a commercial godown-cum-shopping complex. With 24 fire tenders deployed, we managed to contain the blaze," he said.

Runu Mishra, owner of RP Traders, detailed the financial toll. "When I arrived at 6 am, the fire hadn't reached my premises. Despite efforts to douse it, LPG cylinders exploded, causing property damage worth crores," she explained.

Thick smoke and intense flames engulfed the building's first floor. Fire tenders were promptly dispatched, and the Delhi Fire Services confirmed ongoing firefighting efforts.
