Congress Leader's Son Arrested in Himachal Pradesh Drug Bust
Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur police arrested two men, including Congress leader Jagir Singh Mehta's son, recovering 45.60 grams of 'chitta' from them. Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur police have detained two individuals, one of whom is the son of Congress leader Jagir Singh Mehta, after seizing 45.60 grams of 'chitta'.
Following his son's arrest, Mehta stepped down as the President of Ghumarwin Block, citing moral responsibility.
The arrests occurred during a vehicle check on the Kiratpur-Nerchowk four-lane at Garagoda, where barricades had been set up. The men are identified as Anil Kumar and Gaurav Sharma, both from Ghumarwin. The pair face charges under the NDPS Act.
