Tragic Attack in Kostiantynivka: Lives Lost Amid Russian Shelling
Three women were killed and five other people injured during Russian shelling in Kostiantynivka, eastern Ukraine. The Prosecutor's General Office reported that Russian forces targeted residential areas with shelling and a multiple rocket launcher. Moscow denies targeting civilians, despite thousands of deaths during the invasion.
Tragedy struck in the eastern Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka on Wednesday as three women lost their lives and five others were injured in Russian attacks, according to prosecutors. The shelling occurred in a residential part of the town, approximately 14 km from the active combat zone. The Prosecutor's General Office reported on Telegram that two elderly women were killed during the attack.
Subsequently, another residential area was targeted by what appears to be a self-propelled multiple rocket launcher, resulting in the death of a middle-aged woman and injuries to five civilians. The Donetsk region, partially occupied by Russian forces, frequently faces shelling and airstrikes.
Despite substantial evidence of civilian casualties, Moscow continues to deny deliberately targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure in its ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Nevertheless, thousands have perished in these incessant attacks.
