Ukraine's air force reported early Wednesday morning that it successfully intercepted and destroyed 20 of the 25 drones launched by Russian forces overnight, covering six distinct regions. In addition to the drone strikes, nine missiles were also utilized by Russian forces, as confirmed by an air force statement on the Telegram messaging app, highlighting the ongoing assaults in the prolonged conflict.

Kyiv regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko confirmed that no damage was inflicted on residential or critical infrastructure in the area surrounding the capital, and there were no casualties reported. In the central region of Cherkasy, air defenses managed to shoot down one drone without any resulting destruction, according to governor Ihor Taburets.

The Dnipropetrovsk region saw the interception of six drones, as reported by governor Serhiy Lysak. While the region faced various attacks overnight, resulting in injuries to one individual and damage to four apartment buildings and essential infrastructure, the air defenses remained effective. In the southern region of Kherson, five drones were shot down, and 13 people were injured in attacks over the last 24 hours, as detailed by governor Oleksandr Prokudin. Additionally, a hospital in the northern Chernihiv region was shelled by Russian artillery overnight, but no casualties have been reported, stated regional governor Viacheslav Chaus.
