Authorities Thwart Potential Train Sabotage on Kalindi Express

Authorities have detained over two dozen individuals for questioning in connection with a suspected sabotage bid to derail the Kalindi Express, officials stated on Wednesday.

The potential major train accident was averted on Monday when an alert loco pilot brought the Bhiwani-Prayagraj Kalindi Express to a halt after hitting an LPG cylinder placed on the tracks. Additionally, a bottle of petrol and matchboxes were found at the site, intensifying suspicions of a sabotage attempt. Local police quickly lodged an FIR following the discovery.

A multi-agency investigation, including teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the UP Police Anti-Terrorist Squad, has been launched into the incident. Authorities suspect possible terror links.
