Iran Denounces Western Sanctions as 'Ugly Propaganda'
Iran's foreign ministry has labeled reports of Iranian weapons transfers to Russia as 'ugly propaganda', suggesting the aim is to distract from Western military support to Israel. This comes after Western powers announced new sanctions on Tehran. Iran claims these reports mislead the public about true Western militaristic actions.
Iran's foreign ministry has dismissed allegations of transferring weapons to Russia as 'ugly propaganda' designed to obscure Western military support for Israel. The statement follows announcements by Western powers, including the U.S., France, Germany, and Britain, of new sanctions on Tehran.
Addressing the claims, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani labeled the reports as false and misleading. He accused Western countries of using such narratives to hide their illegal arms shipments that allegedly support what he described as the 'genocide in Gaza.'
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that Tehran provided ballistic missiles to Moscow, warning of their potential use in Ukraine within weeks. However, Iran argues that the new sanctions would primarily affect its middle class while failing to address deeper issues.
