Lebanese Paramedics Killed in Israeli Attack Amid Escalating Tensions

Three Lebanese paramedics lost their lives and two others were injured, one critically, in an Israeli attack while they were combating fires in Faroun, as per Lebanon's health ministry on Saturday.

The ministry reported that Israeli forces targeted a Lebanese Civil Defence team responding to fires ignited by recent Israeli airstrikes, specifically hitting a fire truck. The attack was condemned as a 'blatant strike' on an official Lebanese state apparatus, being the second attack on emergency services within 12 hours.

The Israeli military acknowledged they are investigating the report. Earlier, they mentioned conducting multiple strikes on Hezbollah rocket launchers and infrastructure in southern Lebanon following rocket attacks into northern Israel. In retaliation, Hezbollah claimed to have launched a large number of missiles at an Israeli military headquarters, leading to casualties. The escalating conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has caused significant displacement across the Lebanese-Israeli border.
