Arun Goel Appointed as India's Ambassador to Croatia

Arun Goel, a retired bureaucrat and former Election Commissioner of India, has been appointed as India's next ambassador to Croatia. The Ministry of External Affairs announced the appointment, stating Goel is expected to take up the new assignment shortly. Goel previously served as a 1985-batch IAS officer.

In a significant diplomatic move, Arun Goel has been appointed as India's next ambassador to Croatia, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday.

Goel, a retired bureaucrat, previously held the position of Election Commissioner of India, a role he assumed in November 2022 and resigned from in March 2024.

Before his tenure as Election Commissioner, Goel voluntarily retired after an illustrious career as a 1985-batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre.
