Mumbai Policeman Booked for Bribery in Rajkot
A Mumbai policeman, Digambar Pagar, has been booked following the arrest of a middleman accepting a Rs 10 lakh bribe on his behalf in Rajkot. The Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended the middleman, Jaymin Savaliya, after a complaint and registered an FIR against Pagar under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

A Mumbai policeman has been booked after a middleman was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh in Rajkot city, the Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) announced.
The FIR, registered on Friday, names Digambar Pagar, an inspector from Matunga police station. According to the ACB, Pagar demanded the bribe through middleman Jaymin Savaliya, who told the complainant that the payment would prevent his arrest over a crime in the Matunga area.
Acting on the complainant's tip-off, ACB officials laid a trap and apprehended Savaliya in the act. Savaliya subsequently informed Pagar about receiving the money, leading to the booking of Pagar under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
