In a tense face-off at the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau office, BRS Working President K T Rama Rao, commonly known as KTR, found himself embroiled in high drama on Monday. Summoned for the ongoing Formula E race investigation, KTR was denied the company of his legal counsel, prompting him to deliver his written statement outside the headquarters.
Arriving shortly after 10 a.m., Rama Rao was stopped by police who refused entry due to the presence of his lawyer. Opting to remain in his vehicle, Rao spoke with ACB officials and handed over his written statement to a DSP rank officer before exiting without a formal appearance.
Rao expressed his determination to cooperate with the investigation, insisting on the presence of his lawyer. He voiced concerns of statement manipulation by officials, drawing parallels to the treatment of former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy. Allegations have been made regarding the Chief Minister's influence over the ACB's actions.
