Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Friday inaugurated the 'Sparsh Outreach Programme' aimed at addressing the problems faced by defense pensioners through a single comprehensive platform.

The event took place at Pangode Military Station, where Rs 81 lakh in pension arrears were distributed to four beneficiaries, including a significant amount to the nominee of the late Leela Marar.

The Governor praised the technological advancements introduced by the programme and commended the Ministry of Defence's efforts to include over 30 lakh pensioners in the SPARSH system. Representatives from various agencies participated in the event, showcasing the broad support for the initiative.
