A dual U.S.-Turkish citizen has tragically succumbed to her injuries after being shot in the head by Israeli troops. The victim, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, was participating in a protest against settlement expansion in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The U.S. State Department and Turkey's Foreign Ministry have both confirmed her death. Turkey's Foreign Ministry described the incident as a "murder carried out by the Netanyahu government." Meanwhile, the Israeli military is looking into reports regarding the incident. U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed condolences and emphasized the safety of American citizens.

Fouad Nafaa, head of Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, stated that Eygi arrived in critical condition and died despite resuscitation efforts. The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's actions and accused them of intimidating those aiding Palestinians. Increase in violent attacks by Israeli settlers has caused growing anger among Western allies, leading to global condemnation and calls for action.
