High-Profile Naxalite with Rs 14 Lakh Bounty Arrested in MP

Sajanti, a woman Naxalite carrying a Rs 14 lakh bounty, was arrested in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district after an encounter. Operating since 2011, Sajanti was wanted in several violent incidents across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. A Special Operation Group nabbed her during a forest search operation.

Sajanti, a high-profile Naxalite with a Rs 14 lakh bounty on her head, was apprehended by police in Balaghat district, Madhya Pradesh, following an encounter, according to recent reports.

The arrest was carried out by the elite Hawk Force's Special Operation Group (SOG) in Parsatola Chichrangpur forest area on Thursday. Sajanti, originally from Maharashtra, had been affiliated with the Khatia Mochi area committee since 2011.

Despite an attempted rescue by fellow Naxalites, who fired 30 to 40 rounds at the SOG team, Sajanti was safely escorted. Police and CRPF's COBRA units are now conducting search operations for the escaped members.
