Tragedy in Chandrapur: Teen's Suicide After Alleged Sexual Abuse

Police in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district have arrested three individuals following the suicide of a 17-year-old girl, who alleged sexual abuse. The girl hanged herself after accusing a 19-year-old of assault. Subsequently, the lodge owner and manager were also arrested for allowing a minor on their premises.

The teenager had spent a night with a 19-year-old man in a Ballarpur town lodge, and detailed her ordeal to family members, accusing the man of assault.

The young woman subsequently hanged herself at home. Authorities subsequently arrested the lodge owner and manager for permitting a minor to access their premises.
