In a similar incident in Jhajha, Jamui district, another woman and her husband were paraded semi-naked through their village. The woman's head was shaved, and her husband wore a garland of slippers, his face blackened. The couple allegedly eloped, prompting the violent backlash. Police are investigating both cases and have launched manhunts for suspects.
