In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old boy from Sirkida village was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by four people, including a juvenile. The suspects have been apprehended, police confirmed on Thursday. The boy's body was thrown into Sharda Canal in the neighbouring Lakhimpur district, and a search is underway.
Shivansh had gone missing on Tuesday, sparking furious protests from family members who accused the Sakran Police of negligence. The family created a ruckus at the local police station and blocked Sakran-Sitapur road demanding justice.
According to Shubham Mishra, the boy's uncle, they had filed a complaint and informed the police about their suspicions and the car used in the crime. However, they claim police inaction and rebuke. Sitapur ASP Prakash Kumar stated the suspects had admitted to kidnapping Shivansh for ransom and subsequently murdering him after failing to secure the money. The suspects are now in custody, and the search for the boy's body continues.
