In the wake of a brazen Rs 5 crore robbery at the Shri Balaji Jewelers showroom in Haridwar, Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar arrived in Haridwar on Tuesday for an on-site inspection. Kumar assured the showroom owner that the police are dedicated to apprehending the suspects swiftly.

"This incident is significant, and the Chief Minister is closely monitoring the investigation's progress. Every major incident poses a challenge, but it also provides our Uttarakhand Police an opportunity to demonstrate our competence and bravery. I have full confidence that our local police and Special Task Force will soon provide a positive update," said DGP Kumar.

Kumar additionally noted that anti-social elements should not expect leniency and highlighted that assistance from neighboring states' police forces has been enlisted. Inspecting the crime scene, he emphasized the urgency of apprehending the culprits and maintaining law and order. IG Garhwal Range Karan Singh Nagnyal also informed the jewelry store owner about ongoing efforts to crack the case.
