Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was apprehended by Danish police on Wednesday during a protest at Copenhagen University against the Gaza war. The student group organizing the demonstration confirmed Thunberg's detention.
The police detained six individuals after approximately 20 people blocked the entrance to a university building, with three people entering the premises. A police spokesperson declined to confirm the identities of those arrested. However, a spokesperson for Students Against the Occupation confirmed that Thunberg was among those held.
A photograph published by daily Ekstra Bladet showed Thunberg in what appeared to be handcuffs, according to the newspaper's report.
