The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has successfully apprehended four members of a gang involved in drug peddling activities in Juhu Gulli, located in the western suburbs, officials announced on Wednesday.

When the accused were taken to the police station, they chanted confessions of their crimes, acknowledging that they sold drugs to the youth and vowing to cease their illicit activities. A video capturing their public parading and chants quickly went viral on social media platforms.

During the parade, a large number of locals gathered, questioning why the four individuals were detained. The suspects confessed their involvement in drug trafficking to the public. Based on a tip-off, the Crime Branch Bandra unit led by Senior PI Daya Nayak conducted a raid on Tuesday evening in the Dogar area of Juhu Gulli, seizing 80 grams of Mephedrone. The accused have been handed over to D N Nager Police Station, and a case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act.
