The accused, a retired government employee, committed the crime under Lalbagh Police Station limits. He was apprehended following a complaint from the girl's mother.

A 62-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpur district. The accused, who was acquainted with the victim's family, committed the crime on Monday night.
The arrest was confirmed by Superintendent of Police Devendra Patidar. The man, a retired government employee, raped the minor under the jurisdiction of Lalbagh Police Station.
Acting promptly on a complaint filed by the girl's mother, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Further investigation is ongoing, said SP Patidar.
