The Delhi Police has recently informed the high court about a serious allegation against former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar. The police allege that Khedkar submitted two potentially forged disability certificates to gain benefits in civil services exams.
According to the police, one of these certificates, purportedly issued by the Medical Authority in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, was found to be fabricated. This submission was part of her anticipatory bail plea in a case where she is accused of cheating and wrongfully availing Other Backward Classes (OBC) and disability quota benefits.
The hearing is set for September 5. Khedkar, who denies all allegations, has already seen her candidature canceled by the UPSC, which has also barred her from taking future exams. The UPSC and Delhi Police have emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting the broader implications on public trust and the integrity of the civil services examination.
