On Wednesday, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal criticized the killing of Aryan Mishra, a class 12 student, by cow vigilantes in Faridabad. Aryan was mistakenly chased and shot dead, being taken for a cattle smuggler.
The student was pursued in a car and fatally shot on August 23 by a group of five suspected cow vigilantes who claimed it was a case of mistaken identity, police sources revealed on Tuesday.
All five accused, including Saurabh, Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, and Adesh, were detained on August 28 and placed in police custody for two days, according to Superintendent of Police (Crime) Aman Yadav's statement. The five misidentified Aryan and associates for cattle smugglers before giving chase and opening fire.
