AIFGDA Demands Swift Justice for Trainee Doctor's Tragic Incident

The All India Federation of Government Doctors' Associations (AIFGDA) on Tuesday demanded swift justice for the trainee doctor who was raped and murdered at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
Addressing a press conference, AIFGDA additional general secretaries Dr Subarna Goswami and Dr Praful Kumar expressed their solidarity with the nationwide movement calling for accountability in the case.
The AIFGDA representatives stressed the urgency of the matter as the Supreme Court hearing in the case approaches on September 5.
Urging the judiciary to handle the case with sensitivity and promptness, they noted the widespread public outrage over the incident.
The body also highlighted the severity of crimes against doctors during the press conference, according to a statement.
