Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Tuesday underscored the crucial need for a harmonious collaboration between a governor and the chief minister to ensure the prosperity of any state. Kataria's remarks were made during an event where he was honoured for his dedicated service to the people of Assam during his tenure there.
'I am keen to employ the same collaborative strategy in Punjab,' said Kataria, who just last month stepped into the gubernatorial role, succeeding Banwarilal Purohit. 'Effective public welfare initiatives can only be executed by going beyond administrative mandates and directly engaging with the communities they are meant to serve.'
Two cabinet ministers from Assam, Ranjit Kumar Das and Chandra Mohan Patowary, attended the felicitation ceremony at Punjab Raj Bhavan. They presented Kataria with a resolution from the Assam Cabinet, which highlighted his strategic guidance and extensive travels across Assam's 35 districts, lauding his contributions to governance and public welfare.
