In a landmark effort to streamline governance, the 'Prashasan Gaon ki Ore' campaign successfully addressed nearly three crore service delivery applications. The nationwide initiative, which wrapped up recently, aims to enhance ease of governance at grassroots levels, according to a senior government official.
Spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, the campaign took place from December 19-24, implementing reforms for a transparent and efficient eco-system. By simplifying procedures and processes, the government expanded its outreach and service delivery mechanisms to further citizen engagement, as highlighted by V Srinivas, Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.
The campaign, conducted across 700+ districts, disposed of 2.99 crore applications and resolved 18.29 lakh public grievances. This initiative represents India's largest effort for good governance, supported by chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and district collectors nationwide, demonstrating the power of technology in fostering accountability and transparency in governance.
