Tragedy Strikes Again: SSB Constable Takes Own Life in Chhattisgarh
A 32-year-old SSB constable from Uttar Pradesh, Rakesh Kumar, allegedly committed suicide at a camp in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district. This marks the second incident of suicide by an SSB constable in the state within eight days. Police are investigating to determine the cause of his death.

A 32-year-old constable of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) from Uttar Pradesh tragically took his own life by shooting himself using his service weapon in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district on Tuesday, according to local police.
This incident marks the second case of suicide by an SSB constable within the last eight days in Chhattisgarh, where the force is actively engaged in anti-Naxal operations.
The event occurred around 3 pm at the SSB camp in Kosronda village, as confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police (Antagarh) Jaiprakash Barhai.
''Constable Rakesh Kumar shot himself with his service rifle in the camp, dying on the spot,'' he stated.
No suicide note was discovered, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact reason for Kumar's drastic action, acknowledged Meerut resident from Uttar Pradesh.
Previously, on August 27, another SSB constable allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at the force's zonal headquarters in Newai, Durg district.
